Koi Ponds and water features.
Koi
Ponds account for 75% of most formal ponds and water features.
The construction of koi ponds is ideal if your requirements are
for water features generally of brick or stone. Koi are especially
interesting fish but they do require a more substantial set-up and filter
system.
Below are various koi ponds, demonstrating the scope there is available,
we suggest that if this is on your shortlist of options tick the appropriate
title, koi ponds, in the mail box.
These
type of ponds are generally suited to areas nearer the house or in parts
of the garden already with a more formal, architectural look, where the
pool will take on a more structural look. Within this frame-work of ponds
are koi pools, with there more sophisticated filtration systems.
Every
shape and size is catered for, based around the style of house and gardens,
with there respective fountains and filtration systems to suit your requirements.

Here
we have a raised two tier koi pond built using natural stone, with
large filtration systems, again away from the feature itself.
This one is in Hatfield, South Yorks.

of their whole garden. |

The
rill. A long, narrow and shallow feature either designed as a reflective
pool or with stepped channelling showing off small waterfalls along
its route. Either way, designed to your tastes. This one is near
Cirencester, Gloucestershire, with filter systems, cooling tanks,
pumps etc out of site.

is one from the Peak District National Park showing an existing statue
of the clients around which the pool was designed, with three fountain
heads and the paths around. All pumps, filters and equipment are away
from the feature. |

Finally,
two variations of formal pools flush with the ground, in accordance
with the ideas of the clients. One using traditional York flagstones....

|
....the other using more modern materials to give a symmetrical look
either side of the main pool with its fountain feature. |
